Open Box games have been returned by customers for different reasons.  The games have been shipped, returned and in some cases opened and used a few times.  So there may be minor wear on the outer box, the game and the parts bags may have been opened.  All units are re-packed and tested by our QC staff prior to being sold.  We insure the games have all standard parts in "like new" condition with our standard 90-day new game warranty.
